Using abstraction, Jowhara Luula shows her journey of understanding and accepting her intersecting identities through various mediums.

“Growing up, I hid my differences to find a sense of belonging within my environment. Masking was a must. Art helped me rediscover the identities I’ve buried behind that mask.”

By sharing her story of overcoming different internal and external barriers daily in pursuit of her dreams, she hopes to inspire the viewers to give their inner self a second listen. What dreams did they dismiss? What past experiences do they carry? How do they perceive themselves? And who do they want to be?
